Welcome to the CESA 11 Social Studies Network page! The goal of this network is to build a collaborative community of learners that improves student outcomes in Social Studies. To achieve this goal, the network has three specific purposes:
Facilitate collaboration among subject and/or grade-level social studies teachers
Support best practices in Social Studies with a focus on Disciplinary Literacy and Inquiry
Promote the value of Social Studies teaching and learning
We look forward to connecting with you through our ongoing professional support for Social Studies educators!
SOCIAL STUDIES NETWORK
I have attended multiple workshops and events put on by the CESA #11 Social Studies Network and every single one of them has been excellent! I have walked away inspired and motivated to continue growing in the art and science of being an effective educator that makes a difference in the lives of my students. Every workshop event has given me practical tools and information that I could apply right away. My curriculum has been enriched and my students have directly benefited because of my participation in the CESA 11 Social Studies Network. Not only are Trent and Sara amazing, helpful and model best practices in education, but I also appreciate the opportunities I have had to network and share with other like-minded social studies teachers.
