The CESA 11 SEIMC (Special Education Instructional Materials Center) is designed to meet the curricular and professional needs of all professionals working with students with disabilities in CESA #11. The library is home to a large variety of instructional materials for all academic areas, assistive technology and equipment, professional development resources and Transition Programming. The SEIMC items have been purchased by Cesa 11 to provide schools the opportunity to use and incorporate them into their classrooms to fit the needs of their schools and students. The materials are purchased based on the frequent and direct contact with teachers, specialists and Special Education Directors to help meet those needs and to support current education initiatives identified by DPI and WPDS/CSPD.
Publishers recognize that CESA is a vehicle to showcase their materials as well. We have been able to negotiate with several publishing companies to receive quality software and print materials on a permanent loan basis for teacher preview purposes.
