LIBRARY MEDIA

SPECIALIST NETWORK

The Library Media Specialist (LMS) Network was designed to support the professional development and program planning for school libraries.  CESA #11 hosts monthly LMS Network Meetings where district library media personnel meet to share best practices and engage in discussions with various educational partners. This network highlights digital resources and professional development that promotes collaborative models of instruction and curriculum development as districts work to improve student engagement and achievement. Topics of discussion include common core and information literacy standards, the Future Ready Librarians framework, website and digital resource accessibility, innovative educational media technologies, ESEA/ESSA guidance, and culturally-responsive library programs.
