Early Childhood Program 

CESA #11 Early Childhood Program Support Teachers provide professional development opportunities for educators of young children.  All workshop and networking opportunities are open to B-3, 4K, Early Childhood: SPED, Head Start, Kindergarten and Child Care providers.  School districts and partners can arrange for onsite professional development related to evidence based practices to enhance outcomes for young children with disabilities.

Learning Objectives

  1. Increased understanding of the CCR-IEP 5 Step Process from the lens of the early learning, with a focus on steps 1 and 2.

  2. Application of Steps 1 and 2 of the Five Step Process to support teams in developing IEPs designed to improve access, engagement, and progress for students.

  3. Use WI Model Early Learning Standards to understand present levels and consider IEPs and best practices for students ages 3-6. Develop early learning standards based IEP and integrated Indicators 6 & 7.  Use age anchoring tools, practice writing functional goals and early literacy in IEP.

  4. Identify strtegies to use in preparing for and participating in IEP team meetings
