Technology Tools to Communicate Content
2007-08 Enhancing Education Through Technology Grant
The outcome of this project is to improve student achievement by requiring learners to engage in deeper content thinking and to produce thoughtful, original evidence of their learning using technology communication tools. The project trains teachers and media specialists in technology communication tools and guides them in designing culminating assessments that require students to generate complex, original technology-enhanced products and presentations as measures of content proficiency.
Areas of Emphasis for the project:
- Information Fluency (Using the BIG6 model and/or 21st Century Information Fluency Project)
- Assessment-Building appropriate assessments to identify student growth and achievement
- Technology Tools: Moodle, Wikis, Blogging and Podcasting-Information Communication Tools with an emphasis on 2.0
