STAR Academy is proud to announce the Grand Prize Winner of the 2010 STAR Academy Student Photo Contest — Macey Bundt, an aspiring and brilliant photographer. Macey is a senior at Boyceville High School. Her parents are David and Sherrine Bundt residing outside of Prairie Farm. Miss Bundt’s winning photo will be featured on the 2010 STAR Academy brochure cover and various marketing pieces. As the winner she received a $200 savings bond and a framed, matted 11 x 17 print of her winning photograph. She titled the winning photo "The Brilliance Within" a phrase fitting in perfectly with the work at CESA 11’s STAR Academy.
Macey has been capturing photos since her freshman year. Her goal is to establish a photography studio called, "LifePrints" after graduating from UW-Stout. She has taken limited photography classes, admittedly, most of her work is self taught.Most recently Macey had the opportunity to photograph The Minnesota WILD Hockey Team with their team photographer and the head of the photography and graphic design unit.
Whether Macey accomplishes her goal as professional photographer or reroutes her career direction, we truly believe the brilliance she posses within will make her richly successful!
