Being a Policy Council Representative gives parents an opportunity to have a meaningful voice in their child’s day to day Head Start life.  As a Policy Council Representative, you have a meaningful voice in the following program opportunities:

Approval of

• Program design
  
• Grant approvals
  
• Approve budget
  
• Advice on budget issues
  
• Approve and update program Written Plan
  
• Approval of hiring and termination/interview with Head Start staff
  
• Public relations
  
• Yearly review of program
  
• Design policies

As a Policy Council Representative, you are to attend monthly meetings throughout the year at the Turtle Lake CESA #11
