SciMaTech Meeting Resources 2013-2014

The CESA 11 SciMaTech Resource Center provides curricular and professional development support, hands-on resources, teaching modules, and equipment for CESA 11 member school districts in the area of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

District benefits of the SciMaTech Resource Center:

  • Access to a lending library of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math resources and equipment, housed in the CESA 11 Media Center. Key resources include: 
    • Our Starlab Mobile Planetarium program, equipment, and in-district consultant
    • Engineering is Elementary (EiE) | Engineering Everywhere instructional kits, assessments, in-district training, and classroom support
    • Night-Sky Finders
    • Vernier software and probe technology
    • Underwater cameras, and more
  • Math (CCSS) and Science (NextGen) Standards implementation and instructional support K-12.
  • Math and Science adoption materials review including data analysis, instructional correlations, and assessment (formative and summative) review.
  • Training and support in Instructional Technology and classroom applications
  • Regional professional development support and collaboration in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics through Math and Science Advisory Meetings, Workshops and Inservices.
  • Content networking with our CESA 11 Coaching Mathematics Leadership (CMLC) team, Advancing Science Learning (ASL) team, grades K-5, and the Science Learning Community (SLC), grades 6-12.
